Gus Hurwitz는 법학, 경제학, 컴퓨터과학을 기반으로 기술이 법적, 경제적, 사회적 제도를 어떻게 형성하는지를 연구합니다. 연구의 주요 초점은 규제 기관이 급변하는 기술에 어떻게 대응하는지와 그러한 대응 과정에서 규제 기관이 직면하는 한계를 이해하는 것입니다. 최근에는 사회적 및 정치적 가치에 부합하는 기술을 설계하여 규제 개입의 필요성을 최소화하는 방법에 중점을 두고 있습니다. Hurwitz는 독점규제, 규제, 통신 법 및 정책, 사이버 보안, 언론 및 미디어 규제 등 다양한 주제에 관한 논문과 책을 출간했습니다.

Gus Hurwitz’s work draws from law, economics, and computer science to study how technology orders legal, economic, and social institutions. A principal focus of this work is understanding how regulatory institutions respond to disruptive technologies and the limitations that regulators face in such responses. Recently, he is focusing on how to design technologies to be aligned with social and political values, in order to minimize the need for regulatory intervention. He has published articles and books on topics including antitrust, regulation, communications law and policy, cybersecurity, and speech and media regulation

Jorge L. Contreras 교수의 연구는 지식재산권, 독점규제법, 기술 표준화 및 과학 정책에 중점을 두고 있습니다. 학계 이전에는 국제적인 로펌의 파트너로서 보스턴, 워싱턴 DC, 런던에서 지식재산권 거래 법률 실무에 종사했습니다. Contreras 교수는 150편 이상의 학술 논문과 연구를 발표했으며, 상하권으로 구성된 《케임브리지 기술 표준화 법》(케임브리지 대학 출판사, 2017, 2019) 등 열두 권의 책을 저술하거나 편집했습니다. Professor Contreras’s research focuses on intellectual property, antitrust law, technical standardization and science policy. Prior to entering academia, Professor Contreras was a partner at an international law firm where he practiced intellectual property transactional law in Boston, Washington DC and London. He has published more than 150 academic articles and chapters and has written or edited twelve books including the 2-volume Cambridge Handbook of Technical Standardization Law (Cambridge Univ. Press, 2017, 2019). He received his JD from Harvard Law School, earned his BSEE and BA in English at Rice University.

Carlos Ignacio Gutierrez is a vice-chair of IEEE’s AI Policy Committee He holds a Ph.D. and an M.Phil. in Policy Analysis from the Pardee RAND Graduate School. Throughout his career, Carlos Ignacio has contributed to national and international AI policy efforts, including the reformulation of the EU AI Act’s definition of general-purpose AI systems, the creation of the NIST AI RMF, and has directed partnerships with stakeholders such as the UN and IEEE. His work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and reports from institutions throughout the world.

Matusow는 표준화 정책 문제와 관련하여 정부 및 시민 사회와 활발하게 협력하고 있으며, 개방적이면서도 규칙 기반의 표준 시스템을 지지하고 있습니다. Matusow는 1995년 Microsoft에 입사하였고, 소프트웨어 업계에서 30년 이상 근무하면서 네트워킹, Y2K 문제, 사이버 보안, 상호운용성, 표준 등 여러 분야에서 다양한 직책을 역임했습니다.
Matusow leads a global team of technical diplomats working at the intersection of technology, business strategy, and public policy. His team is focused on the topics such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, privacy, data, and accessibility. He is an active participant with government and civil society on standardization policy issues and is a public advocate for an open and rules-based standards system. Matusow has been in the software industry for over 30 years and joined Microsoft in 1995. He has held positions in networking, the Y2K issue, cybersecurity, interoperability, and standards.

신수용 이사는 카카오헬스케어의 연구 책임자이자 개인정보보호책임자(CPO)입니다. 서울대학교에서 머신러닝 분야 박사 학위를 받았으며, 서울대학교병원, 아산병원, 경희대학교, 성균관대학교, 삼성서울병원 등에서 다양한 연구 및 학술 직책을 역임하며 광범위한 실무 경험을 가지고 있습니다. 신수용 이사는 헬스 정보학 및 인공지능과 관련된 다양한 국내외 위원회에 참여하면서 관련 분야에서 영향력과 전문성을 드러내고 있습니다.
Soo-Yong Shin is the Head of Research and Chief Privacy Officer at KakaoHealthcare. He holds a Ph.D. in Machine Learning from Seoul National University and has extensive experience in research and academic positions, including Seoul National University Hospital, Asan Medical Center, Kyung Hee University, SungKyunKwan University, and Samsung Medical Center. He is involved in various national and international committees related to health informatics and artificial intelligence, reflecting his influence and expertise in these fields.

He was a software engineer and product manager before practicing law. He has a JD from UC Berkeley Law and a BA from Georgetown University.
