임용 교수는 서울대학교 법학전문대학원의 부교수로 재직 중이며, 2020년까지 학생부원장을 역임했습니다. 임용 교수는 서울대학교 인공지능정책 이니셔티브(SAPI)의 공동 창립자이자 디렉터입니다. SAPI는 현재 서울대학교 인공지능신뢰성연구센터(CTAI)가 진행하고 있는 AI의 규범적 및 기술적 표준을 수립하는 프로젝트를 주도하고 있는 연구실 중 하나입니다. 임용 교수의 전문 분야는 경쟁법, 소비자 보호, 개인정보 보호 및 데이터 거버넌스입니다. 임용 교수는 서울대학교 법과대학을 졸업하고 미국 하버드 로스쿨에서 법학박사(S.J.D.) 학위를 취득했습니다. 서울대학교에 부임하기 전에는 김·장 법률사무소 변호사로 재직하였으며, 2023년에는 미국 펜실베니아 대학교 펜 케리 법학대학원(Penn Carey Law)의 Bok International Professor로 재직했습니다.
Yong Lim is an Associate Professor at Seoul National University (“SNU”), School of Law, where he also served as Associate Dean of Student Affairs until 2020. He is the co-founder and director of SNU AI Policy Initiative (“SAPI”). SAPI is one of the labs currently spearheading a project at SNU’s Center for Trustworthy AI to establish normative and technical standards for AI. His areas of specialty include competition law, consumer protection, privacy and data governance. Yong graduated from Seoul National University, College of Law, and obtained his S.J.D. at Harvard Law School. Prior to joining academia, Yong practiced law at Kim & Chang in Seoul, Korea. Yong was a Bok International Professor at Penn Carey Law in 2023.

Michèle Finck는 독일 튀빙겐 대학교 법학 및 인공지능 교수이자, CZS 인공지능 및 법률 연구소 소장입니다. 이전에는 영국 옥스퍼드 대학교, 런던정경대학(LSE), 독일 막스 플랑크 혁신 및 경쟁 연구소에서 근무했습니다. Finck 교수의 연구는 EU 법 내 인공지능 및 개인정보의 규제에 중점을 두고 있습니다. 현재 Finck 교수는 2025년에 옥스퍼드 대학 출판사에서 출간할 예정인 인공지능법(AI Act) 주석서를 집필 중입니다.
Michèle Finck is a Professor of Law and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Tübingen and Director of the CZS Institute for Artificial Intelligence and Law. She previously worked at the University of Oxford, the London School of Economics and the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition. Her work focuses on the regulation of artificial intelligence and (personal) data in EU law. She is currently working on a commentary on the Artificial Intelligence Act that will be published by Oxford University Press in 2025.

남철기 과장은 과학기술정보통신부 인공지능기반정책과장으로서 우리나라 인공지능 경쟁력 강화를 위한 전략 수립 및 규제 정비를 책임지고 있습니다. 1996년부터 2004년까지 오라클 코리아에서 소프트웨어 엔지니어로 근무했으며, 2004년 공직에 입문한 이후 재정경제부(현 기획재정부), 정보통신부(현 과학기술정보통신부), 지식경제부(현 산업통상자원부) 등 다양한 정부 부처에서 소프트웨어 및 인공지능 관련 정책 업무를 20년 넘게 수행해 왔으며, 현재는 과학기술정보통신부 과장으로 있습니다. 남철기 과장은 2003년 8월 울산대학교에서 전자계산학 박사 학위를 취득했습니다. 2010년부터 2012년까지는 미국 오리건 주립대학교 연구원으로 근무했습니다.
Chulki Nam is the Director of the AI Policy Division at the Ministry of Science and ICT. In this role, he is responsible for formulating strategies and establishing regulations to enhance South Korea’s AI competitiveness. He worked as a software engineer at Oracle Korea for nine years (1996-2004). After entering public service in 2004, he has been engaged in policy work related to software and artificial intelligence for over 20 years across various government ministries, including the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Information and Communication, the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, and currently at the Ministry of Science and ICT. He earned his Ph.D. in Electronic computing from the University of Ulsan in August 2003. From 2010 to 2012, he worked as a researcher at Oregon State University.

Christopher S. Yoo is the John H. Chestnut Professor of Law, Communication, and Computer & Information Science at University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School. As one of the most cited scholars in administrative and regulatory law as well as intellectual property, he has authored five books and over 100 scholarly works. His major research projects include investigating innovative ways to connect more people to the Internet; comparing antitrust law in China, Europe, and the U.S.; analyzing the technical determinants of optimal interoperability; promoting privacy and security for autonomous vehicles, medical devices, and the Internet’s routing architecture; and studying the regulation of Internet platforms.

Kyoko Yoshinaga 교수의 연구 관심사는 AI 거버넌스와 윤리입니다. Yoshinaga 교수의 연구 분야는 정보통신기술, 미디어 및 사이버 보안 관련 비교 정책 및 법입니다. 2003년부터 2023년까지 일본 미쓰비시 연구소에서 연구원으로 활동하며 일본 정부 부처의 정책 및 규칙 제정에 오랜 기간 동안 기여해왔으며, 최근 몇 년 동안은 AI 개발 부문의 컴플라이언스 및 리스크 관리 업무를 담당했습니다. Kyoko Yoshinaga’s research interest is in AI governance and ethics. Her research fields have been in comparative policies and laws on Information Communication Technologies, media and cybersecurity. She was a researcher at Mitsubishi Research Institute (2003- 2023) assisting Japanese government ministries in policy and rule making in these areas for many years and for the last few years, she was in charge of compliance and risk management in the AI development division. She has contributed to making “AI Guidelines for Business 1.0” in Japan as a member of METI’s Expert Committee. Kyoko has been selected as an Expert at GPAI (Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence) and is engaging in the Future of Work Working Group as well as co-leading a project on co-generated works at the Data Governance Working Group.

He was a software engineer and product manager before practicing law. He has a JD from UC Berkeley Law and a BA from Georgetown University.
