Professor Wexler researchers, writes, and teaches about data, technology, and secrecy in the criminal legal system. Wexler served as senior policy advisor at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy during the spring of 2023. She has testified before the Senate and House Judiciary Committees for the United States Congress, and her scholarly theories have thrice been introduced as bills in the United States Congress for proposed codification into United States federal law. Her scholarship has appeared or is forthcoming in the Harvard Law Review, Stanford Law Review, Yale Law Journal Forum, NYU Law Review, Michigan Law Review, UCLA Law Review, Texas Law Review, Vanderbilt Law Review, and Berkeley Technology Law Journal, as well as in peer-reviewed computer science publications.

Chesa Boudin is the founding executive director of Berkeley’s Criminal Law & Justice Center, a policy and advocacy hub. He served as San Francisco’s elected district attorney from 2020 until 2022. Prior to his election Boudin clerked for two federal judges and worked for years as a deputy public defender. He is a graduate of Yale college and Yale law school and attended Oxford on a Rhodes Scholarship.

Sharad Goel is a Professor of Public Policy at Harvard Kennedy School. He looks at public policy through the lens of computer science, bringing a computational perspective to a diverse range of contemporary social and political issues, including criminal justice reform, democratic governance, and the equitable design of algorithms. Sharad co-directs the Computational Policy Lab, an interdisciplinary team of researchers, data scientists, and journalists that use technology to drive social impact. Prior to joining Harvard, Sharad was on the faculty at Stanford University, with appointments in management science & engineering, computer science, sociology, and the law school. Sharad holds an undergraduate degree in mathematics from the University of Chicago, as well as a master’s degree in computer science and a doctorate in applied mathematics from Cornell University.

Alondra Nelson is the Harold F. Linder Professor at the Institute for Advanced Study, where she leads the Science, Technology, and Social Values Lab. She served as deputy assistant to President Joe Biden and acting director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. In recognition of Nelson’s impactful OSTP tenure, Nature named her to its list of the 10 People Who Shaped Science. Widely known for her scholarship at the intersection of science, technology, and society, Nelson is the author of several award-winning books including, The Social Life of DNA, and her essays, reviews, and commentary have been featured in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Foreign Affairs, Wired and Science. She is a member of the United Nations High-Level Advisory Board on Artificial Intelligence and was named to the inaugural TIME100 list of the most influential people in the field of AI.

신동환 과장은 법무부 국제법무지원과장으로서 국제소송, 국제중재 및 기타 분쟁에서 한국정부를 대리하여 다양한 국제 이슈에 대한 정부 법률 자문을 제공하고 있습니다. 신동환 과장은 서울중앙지방검찰청 공정거래조사부 검사 및 부부장검사, 대전지방검찰청 범죄수익환수팀장를 역임하였습니다. 고려대학교와 미국 컬럼비아 로스쿨을 졸업하였고, 미국 FTC 경쟁국, 월드뱅크 반부패부 등에서 파견 근무한 경력이 있습니다.
Donghwan Shin is the Director of the ILAD, KMOJ who is responsible for providing legal advice to the government on international issues, representing Korea(ministries, commissions) in international litigations, arbitrations and other disputes. He previously worked as the Vice Director and the prosecutor of the Antitrust Division at the Seoul Prosecutors’ Office, the head of MLAR team at the Daejeon Prosecutors’s Office. He is a graduate of Korea University, Columbia Law School and has seconded at the Bureau of Competition of US FTC, the anti-corruption unit of the World Bank in DC.

Jason Kwon is the Chief Strategy Officer at OpenAI, overseeing policy, legal, and social impact research teams. Previously, he was the General Counsel of Y Combinator Continuity, Assistant General Counsel of Khosla Ventures and an Associate Attorney at Goodwin. He was a software engineer and product manager before practicing law. He has a JD from UC Berkeley Law and a BA from Georgetown University.
